Iran has successfully thwarted a drone attack on a Ministry of Defence complex in Isfahan, according to reports from the Tasnim news agency. The attempted attack occurred overnight and did not cause any damage. Tensions between Iran and Israel have been escalating, with Iran accusing Israel of being behind previous drone attacks. The recent attack comes after Israeli air strikes in Syria killed two Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps members who were serving as military advisers. In January, a similar drone attack on a Ministry of Defence industrial centre was also unsuccessful, with Iran blaming “mercenaries of the Zionist regime”.
