“Devastating Wildfire Ravages Isle of Grain: Drone Footage Reveals Extent of Woodland Destruction”

A fire broke out yesterday afternoon near West Lane on the Isle of Grain, Hoo, setting trees and shrubbery ablaze. The blaze destroyed around three hectares of woodland, leaving behind torched turf and devastation. Drone footage captured by Adam Ogden shows the extent of the destruction. Four fire engines attended the scene and firefighters worked for two and a half hours to put out the blaze using hoses and beaters. The fire was brought under control shortly before 7.30pm. No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is unknown.
