Two party-goers in Lincoln had an unexpected wake-up call when they were discovered sleeping on the roof of a nightclub. The pair were spotted by concerned staff in the early hours of Sunday, 2 April, who alerted the police. Officers used a drone to locate the men and guide them to safety with the help of Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue. Kev Taylor, Chief Drone Pilot at Lincolnshire Police, praised the use of drones in law enforcement, saying they provide “an eye in sky view that helps officers on the ground”. No arrests were made.
